Hello!  I'm Bruce Wahler, owner of AshbySolutions.com™.

I've been a musician all my life (keyboards and guitar, with a bit of drums and percussion), starting on piano when I was six.  I've also been a "techie" kind of player who loves to get under the hood of the gear and change things -- a combination of a blessing and a curse!

My company, AshbySolutions.com, sells computer-based musical hardware and software. We also sell hard-to-find accessories for real players -- gear that we use to make life easier as gigging and recording musicians, but have found difficult to get elsewhere.  It's a strange collection of items, all guided by the philosophy that any gear we sell should also be gear we use.  More than any other reason that I can give you, this is why you should buy your equipment at AshbySolutions.com:  We don't just sell the stuff, we use it, too!

AshbySolutions.com has terrific prices on the NEO Instruments Ventilator™, MIDI Solutions processors, IK Multimedia soft-sythesizers and digital modeling amps, Yorkville speakers, and many other items, but we also offer great support -- both before and after the sale.  Some products that you see here won't work in every situation, and we'll help to steer you to the right one.  Others need adjustment or programming to get the most out of them.  Some players know exactly what they want, and can just take the gear and run; others need a little help getting started.

Sure, the "big boys" will give you a good price, but do they understand the products enough to help you get them working?  They'll take it back if you can't make it work, but that costs you time and money; what you really want is a solution to your problems.  Let AshbySolutions.com help you! We'll usually meet or beat their prices, plus give you the support you need.  And most orders over $99 (and some smaller ones, too) are eligible for FREE shipping. **

Ashby, MA, the store's namesake, is a little country town on the border between Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  It doesn't have many 'big-city' touches -- a post office, one general store and a couple of conveniece stores/gas stations, a small diner -- but it sure has a lot of beautiful scenery.  I can look out the window of my office and see the edge of Mt. Watatic and the Ashby Wildlife Management Area.

Maybe that view's part of the reason why I'm a big fan of recycling.  Most companies are "going green" these days; I set up Ashby Solutions that way years ago, before we even sold music gear.  We use motion sensors, CFL and LED lighting, and timers all through the office and lab.  We recycle every possible hunk of cardboard and plastic, and we reuse styrofoam 'peanuts' from incoming shipments.  In the summer, we use ceiling fans in place of air conditioning on all but the hottest days.  In the winter, we drop the thermostat a couple of degrees unless a customer is dropping by for a demo.  We use the USPS for most of our shipping, because they are right down the road (an easy bike trip in good weather); and because their boxes are a little lighter than the competition's products.  Finally, are in-house invoice and billing system is now 100% paperless, using PDF 'paper' to keep track of orders.  It all helps the environment, and it keeps our costs down, so we can pass the savings along.

Starting in January 2012, we are no longer sending a paper invoice with our online sales.  Instead, we'll email you a PDF of the invoice, which can be printed if you'd like.  Many customers toss their invoices, anyway, and it saves trees and filled landfills, not to mention printer wear and tear.  Besides, we were supposed to be a 'paperless' society years ago, right?  We respect your preference, though, and if you you still want a paper invoice, just let us know and we'll send you one.  We'll still put one in the box on international orders, because well, customs agents like to see proper paperwork -- and happy customs agents seem to process things a little faster!

We use PayPal to provide our shopping cart.  (A PayPal account is not required to make a purchase from Ashby Solutions, though.)

Please be aware that PayPal sends your 'current' (on file) shipping address with every payment, whether requested by us (through the shopping cart or electronic invoice), or sent directly by you, the buyer.  Customers who already have a PayPal account, but who rarely use it for purchases, may not be aware that they have an old address on file.  Please take a moment to review the on-file address, because that's the one we're going to use to ship your gear, unless you specify otherwise.

AshbySolutions.com participates in the ResellerRatings.com review and rating system, an independant site where buyers can provide feedback on merchants.  We encourage buyers to use ResellerRatings for all their Internet purchases.  After the sale is complete, we will send a follow-up email asking our customers to rate us.  We are proud of our stellar ratings, and hope that all of our customers will take a few moments to fill out the rating form.

** Free shipping is for US ground delivery or First-Class/Priority Mail, at our discretion, unless stated otherwise.  International customers and rush orders should contact Ashby Solutions for instructions before purchasing.
